Beijing Cancer Hospital
Peking University Cancer Hospital (also known as Beijing Cancer Hospital, Peking University School of Clinical Oncology, and Beijing Institute of Cancer Prevention and Control) was established in 1976. It is a large-scale, modern, Grade-III Class-A specialized cancer hospital integrating medical treatment, education, research, and prevention. The hospital serves as a national key discipline in oncology and a key national clinical discipline construction project, and it is also the leading unit for the national clinical key specialty construction projects in oncology and pathology. The hospital is at the forefront of China in the diagnosis and treatment of various common cancers, maintaining an internationally advanced level. As the leading organization, it has actively participated in the development of clinical practice guidelines for gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, renal cancer, melanoma, and other malignancies. Moreover, the hospital leads and undertakes numerous nationally funded key research projects, and it houses the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Government’s Key Laboratory for "Mechanisms of Malignant Tumor Pathogenesis and Translational Research." Additionally, it is the sole institution responsible for cancer incidence registration and survival statistics in the Beijing region, providing critical data to both the government and the World Health Organization (WHO). The hospital also serves as the affiliated and supporting organization for the Beijing Anti-Cancer Association and the Beijing Cancer Rehabilitation Association.
