The Second People's Hospital of Shandong Province
The Second People’s Hospital of Shandong Province (Shandong Provincial Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital; Shandong Provincial Institute of Otorhinolaryngology) is a Grade III Class A medical institution directly affiliated with the Shandong Provincial Health Commission. Located in the western part of Jinan, it is a large-scale, modern, comprehensive hospital integrating medical care, scientific research, education, prevention, and health promotion. Over the years, the hospital has consistently adhered to the development principle of “strengthening and expanding specialized fields while refining and perfecting its comprehensive capabilities,” firmly pursuing a path of integrated development led by specialized expertise in specific diseases. As a result, the hospital has gradually established a sound development pattern characterized by a leading, focused approach in the field of otolaryngology and distinctive features in its other comprehensive disciplines. The hospital has been honored with numerous awards, including the title of “Advanced Collective in the National Health System” and “Outstanding Unit in Talent Development” conferred by the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Shandong Provincial People’s Government. Currently, the hospital employs over 1,800 staff members, including 380 senior professional technicians, 704 doctoral and master’s degree holders, 9 doctoral supervisors, and 33 master’s supervisors. Five staff members enjoy special government allowances from the State Council, seven hold second-level professional positions, and the hospital boasts numerous high-level experts, such as Taishan Scholars and leading talents in the medical and health sector.
